Let's try re-defining beautiful

#mad desperate genius siblings who are each other’s entire universe and who ripped an empire apart by their very existence

I don’t even know how to express how much I want more stories that fit that tag.

It isn’t the storm that makes the ocean dangerous.

Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand
I don’t care, I’m still free, you can’t take the sky from me
Take me out to the black, tell them I ain’t coming back
Burn the land and boil the sea, you can’t take the sky from me
There’s no place that I can be, since I’ve found serenity
You can’t take the sky from me

Captain by ~drcolour
Ah, Mal Reynolds. The sergeant turned captain. The anti-hero of our little tale. I like him… but not as much as I’m supposed to. I know he’s supposed to be the loveable miscreant, the bad boy with a heart of gold. I’m just not sure the loveablity and heart of gold come through very well for me. He has a code, but… so what? He still eventually alienates everyone. What good is vulnerability if no one ever sees it? Rather, what I like about the captain is precisely how bad he actually is. He’s cynical and bitter, and I completely understand where it comes from. What does it say about me that that draws me to him? Yes, he has a code, of sorts, but aside from that code, he has no qualms letting someone twist, or even pulling the trigger, himself. Mal is my favorite character on Firefly, but I’d never want to know the guy!

Summer Glau practicing fight choreography for the movie, Serenity (2005). Her kicks are amazing for not having any martial arts experience. She only did ballet. It makes me wish that more ballerinas got into martial arts. Their flexibility is perfectly suited for it.
